Lunches are busy with a loyal following; dinners are casual and inventive. Menu items like crab cakes, crab burgers, and several creative varieties of shrimp best exhibit Paula's style. The locals love her buffets, which are Southern to the bone and feature fried chicken, meatloaf, collard greens, beef stew, "creamed" potatoes, or macaroni and cheese. Paula's signature dish is chicken potpie topped with puff pastry. Be careful not to fill up on the cheese biscuits and hoecakes that constantly land on your table.

Tybee Island
Tybee means “salt” to Native Americans, but the name of this low-key seaside resort now brings to mind words such as “sun”, “surf” and “fun”. Located 18 miles east of Savannah, this small barrier island boasts a wide, 3-mile long beach that’s backed by sea oat-covered sand dunes and is perfect for sunbathing, people-watching and frolicking in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The island’s south-end pier and pavilion is a splendid venue for strolling above the ocean, people watching and fishing.
While Tybee is a resort town complete with a full range of restaurants, modern hotels and motels, luxurious condominiums, and quaint inns and cottages, it’s also a residential area stocked with its share of colorful characters. It’s an atmosphere considerably more laid-back than that of glitzier, larger beach towns to the north and south.

Savannah is credited as being America’s first planned city. Oglethorpe laid the city out in a series of grids that allowed for wide open streets intertwined with shady public squares and parks that served as town meeting places and centers of business. Visit any of Savannah’s 21 squares! Discovering the squares of Savannah is a unique and enjoyable way to explore and learn about Savannah's history and stories. Exploring Savannah's squares can certainly be done by foot in a day or if time is a restraint, touring by car is fine.

Bonaventure Cemetery was developed on the historically-significant site of Bonaventure Plantation. The peaceful setting rests on a scenic bluff of the Wilmington River, east of Savannah. The site was purchased for a private cemetery in 1846 and became a public cemetery in 1907. Citizens and others can still purchase interment rights in Bonaventure. This charming site has been a world famous tourist destination for more than 150 years due to the old tree-lined roadways, the many notable persons interred, the unique cemetery sculpture and architecture, and the folklore associated with the site and the people. The entrance to the cemetery is located at 330 Bonaventure Road and is the largest of the municipal cemeteries containing nearly 100 acres. The cemetery is open to the public daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. . The main office of the Department of Cemeteries is located in the Bonaventure Administrative Building at the entrance.
