Description: Ever wanted to explore the possibility of establishing a job shadow program on your campus? Not sure where to start? In this session, we will be utilizing sites such as Handshake, Canva, and more to illustrate how to create and establish a job shadow program (on a budget!). We will dive into all the nitty gritty features these resources have to offer and how they can be successful in connecting your students to high impact experiential learning opportunities like job shadowing. As career professionals, we know the impact that job shadowing can have on a student and their career development.We will also explore the possibility of virtual models. You don’t want to miss it!

Title: Maximizing Digital Engagement: Utilizing Technology to Deploy Drop-In Services
Description: In the wake of COVID-19 and transitioning to virtual programming, we will focus on one of the C3’s most used services, Express Drop-In, and how the presenter was able to replicate this in-person offering to a virtual format with tools already provided by the university in a unique way that did not cost the C3 any money. Learn how we’ve leveraged multiple channels of technology in the success of this initiative, including Zoom for service delivery, Microsoft Teams for communication, a resource library, managing shift changes, and training, and Qualtrics/Symplicity for reporting. Through this session, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the dynamics of their own virtual service delivery capabilities, brainstorm strategies for their implementation, and develop a plan for executing virtual drop-in services via their online platforms.

Description: The Texas State Career Services podcast team will discuss their journey to create "A Walk Across Texas State" on which they discuss career related topics through the lens of personal stories. From initial research, vision, and benchmarking to audio equipment and maneuvering approval processes, we’ll tell you how we did it from beginning through final product. We’ll share with you tips and tricks to consider when developing a marketing strategy for promoting podcasts along with production and recording techniques.

Title: Tools for Engaging your Audience During Workshops and Presentations
Description: Looking for ways to spice up the way you engage with students during presentations or workshops? Attend this session to learn about some free tools (PollEverywhere and Kahoot) that increase interactions with your audience through gamification and anonymous polls. We will cover the benefits of using the tools and give a practical application of these tools. These tools have helped increase engagement with students during our presentations.
