Have an idea, experience, or resource that could benefit the SoACE community? The SoACE Blog gives members an opportunity to share insights, highlight promising practices, explore emerging trends, and contribute to conversations across the profession.

SoACE welcomes original contributions from members that spark conversation, share useful ideas, and support the professional growth of colleagues throughout the region. Topics may address challenges, research, emerging practices, lessons learned, or other issues relevant to career services and employer relations professionals.

Submission Guidelines

Content

  • Content must be original and not previously published elsewhere.
  • Submissions should relate to one or more SoACE Knowledge Group areas.
  • Posts should fit within the Trends & Issues, Best Practices, or Research & Reviews categories.

Writing & Formatting

  • Length: Typically 600–800 words.
  • Format: Submit your post as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file.
  • Structure: Use headings, subheadings, short paragraphs, and bullet points as appropriate for readability.
  • Links: Include hyperlinks where you would like them to appear in the published post.
  • Visuals: Relevant images, infographics, or videos may be included with appropriate attribution.
  • Citations: When citations are needed, use APA 7 style with appropriate in-text citations and references.

Review & Publication

  • Submissions are reviewed by the Communications and Marketing Committee and relevant Knowledge Group(s) for quality and alignment with the guidelines.
  • Authors may receive feedback or requests for revisions before publication.
  • Please allow approximately 6–8 weeks for review, editing, and publication.
